Christians Don't Kill People: Lack of insulin Does

BBC NEWS | Americas | US man 'killed child by praying'
A US jury has found a man guilty of killing his ill 11-year-old daughter by praying for her recovery rather than seeking medical care.

The man, Dale Neumann, told a court in the state of Wisconsin he believed God could heal his daughter.

She died of a treatable disease - undiagnosed diabetes - at home in rural Wisconsin in March last year, as people surrounded her and prayed.

I don't think God means for us not to use the knowledge and skills that He has helped us to acquire to help His people to the extent that we can by ourselves. The father may well have been turning down the help that God was offering to save his daughter. I guess he did not look at it that way, did not think that perhaps God helps us in many mysterious ways and often through others. (I love it when I get used as a conduit, and I imagine doctors get used a lot!) This is a sad story.
